Crossing a legal picketline does affect your member in good standing status. A fine for every time you crossed was debatable. That decision does not change what a scab is and what a scab does. BTW Why are they rebuilding the Death Star and still preaching the same old lie that the TWU "must" merge with the CAW? Why would any telecommunications worker want to merge with an industry that is dying and plagued with concessions? Buz Hargrove raided and merges with smaller Unions because his industry is dying and he wants to preserve HIS job security within HIS Union by selling out his members like the off shore call centre concession. Kinda like what Bruce Bell did by suing the delegates for having a non confidence vote in him at the special convention before his term was up. Remember when we marched on the CIRB demanding they appoint a Special Mediator to the labour dispute with TELUS? Kinda dumb when we didn't know Buz Hargrove and Bruce Bell already turned down a special mediator so they could cram their secret merger deal through. They denied it at the time with a passion but Lila Hacket proved that is why Buz Hargrove got involved in negotiations in the first place and the fact that the fallen Storm Troopers are still preaching "we must merge" in their campaign platforms shows the real agenda behind the Death Star. Why are Union leaders so stupid? Buyer Beware.

And why would Carol James oppose the twining of the Port Man bridge in Surrey? Give your head a shake girl! You were our champion of justice but as soon as you get in office you agree to the devil's pay raise and gold plated pension. Now you stand opposed to common sense. What are you thinking? Have you noticed how much bigger Toronto is than Vancouver? They have six lane freeways going every direction. Vancouver has one two lane bridge going across the river into the city. Sure they made one side three lanes but they didn't even make it a counterflow lane like in the tunnel. That extra lane does absolutely nothing to improve the traffic flow in the mornings.

Sure we don't want to end up with Toronto's transportation and pollution problems but we need some transportation. Looking at the long line of cars going to work ever morning in Vancouver over a small two lane bridge is embarrassing. We don't have a rapid transit system to relieve traffic congestion on that side of the city at all. In fact when they built Sky Train on the other side of the city they stopped running busses from Surrey down the Tans Canada highway. Tiller's Folly sing about the electric railway we used to have in Vancouver that was better than our current "rapid transit".

Why the f*ck would we build a bridge in Golden Ears before we twin the Port Mann? That bridge is just going to make Port Mann trafic worse. Why are politicians (and the people who elect them) so stupid?! You want a band aid solution that will increase jobs? Start running some more Transit busses from Guildford across the Port Man bridge into Vancouver!
