Ongoing AFI Harassment at 3777 Kingsway
I have received many complaints from female picketers at 3777 Kingsway complaining about AFI harassment. It would appear that GI Joe and his AFI team single out woman and the disabled for their harassment. Right before I took the photo shoot with Ken Birzneck, I spoke with two female witnesses who confirmed Ken's account.
One of the female witnesses stated AFI had been harassing her and Ken for two weeks prior to the AFI assault on Ken. She showed me a large bruise on her calf which she stated she received while being cornered by three AFI camera men. This is her account of that incident:
The incident that happened to me on Tuesday August 30 2005 while I was picketing at 3777 Kingsway Burnaby BC. I picketed from 6 am to 10 am and I was standing in front of the bus shelter at 3777 Kingsway when all of a sudden 3 afi guys with cameras started to film me the 3 camera guys kept walking closer and closer to me so I kept backing up (there were 2 afi women and 3 other afi men standing there too) they kept moving closer I kept moving back until I stumbled and hit the back of my leg on the lower part of the bus shelter. I do have a 5 inch bruise to which a fellow picketer took a photo of it. All of the afi people found this to be very funny as they were laughing at me and made me feel harassed and intimidated Joe the older afi person said we got the big mouth now! They have done this to me more than once.
When you put this account with Kens and the video in Edmonton where an AFI cameraman used his camera to assault a TWU cameraman while he was filing an AFI assault, we clearly see a pattern develop. This is their MO that they have been trained to use. It is just more bad business and the Burnaby detachment of the RCMP is buying it hook line and sinker. Why hasn't AFI Joe been charged with assault?

Regarding Tuesday Sept 6.
Ken was sitting in a chair on our picket line and Ken was waving at the people honking their horns, when afi Joe appears within a foot of Ken and calls him a Fucking idiot...I was standing by the stone fence near Ken and I heard and saw Joe say this to Ken. So I got in-between Ken (who was sitting) and Joe who was within a foot of Ken and Told Joe to Leave Ken alone and then Joe sneered at me and said "your a fucking fool too!" just then I reached in my pocket grabbed my tape recorder and said to Joe "do you not have any ethics SIR....he saw the red light on my tape recorder and just gave me a leering piercing look and grunted and waved his hand in front of my face and walked away. Joe later walked by and held up his hand in a gun like fashion pointing it at me and laughed and walked away! This man is crazy! The other guy Dave (he is the one on the heavy side is good at calling us rude names (he is the one who started backing me up into the bus shelter and his goons joined in) Dave has called us hookers...he has said "how Much? and the list goes on! Other afi goons have called us horrible names as well this is what we face all the time...we also had a scab tossing coins down from the upper smoking area...she thought it was funning! (one woman started it and then several others stood there and taunted us and laughed at us!
GI Joe is the head of AFI at the Boot? Now we know what the problem is!
