Banff 2000 - The Kick off of
Darren Entwistle's Caligula Era
This is the sales confrence where Darren Entwistle launched his concept for Team TELUS when he first became CEO. Here he showed ethical TELUS management and sales reps, many of whom had religious afiliations, clips from "R" rated movies to help him explain his TEAM concept. Many describe it as being worse than the recent TELUS Idol Scandal. So much so they are afraid to testify. However, we have one witness who is willing to testify:
"The two movies I remember were the Seduction Scene from 'The Graduate' and the ejaculation scene from 'Everything You Wanted to know About sex, but Were Afraid To Ask'. Yes I was there."
How does this coincide with the TELUS Ethics Policy from which Darren Entwistle himself insists there are to be no waivers with out aproval from the Board. Did the Board of Directors approve of Banff 2000? Please advise.
Hey Pinocchio, what was that about ethics?
"Central to TELUS' purpose is to make the future friendly for our stakeholders. One of the critical elements in realizing this ambition is to ensure our individual and collective reputation is above reproach. How we work is just as important as what we do. Our goal is to demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity in our business dealings with all stakeholders (customers, shareholders, suppliers, colleagues, community). This is a corporate priority and a shared responsibility for all TELUS team members as each one of our actions and decisions affect our company and its reputation." Darren Entwistle.
"This ethics policy outlines the responsibilities and guidelines that describe the ethical standard expected of all team members."
"It is not intended that there be any waivers to this policy."

Did the BOD aprove this waiver and amenedment to the TELUS ethics Policy?
I think not. Canfield Go Home!
Didn't they sing a song about all this hypocrisy?
Canfield Go Home!
