Warning:

Darren Entwistle's Nose is Protected by Copyright

This is too funny. I recently started a Facebook group called TELUS Keep Jobs in Canada. The profile picture was a photo of Darren Entwistle, the CEO of TELUS, having a long Pinocchio nose one of his employees sent me a while ago. The Calgary Herald claims that many of Darren Entwistle's employees liken him to cult leader Jim Jones, with his poison kool aid. That is what the Calgary Herald said. CTV claimed that many of Darren's Employees felt lied to about the off shore call centres. That is what CTV said. CKNW reported how TELUS is being dishonest with it's rationale for using the off shore call centres. That is what CKNW said.

Well after all is said and done, Darren Entwistle's Ninja, Super Dave Whotherspoon strikes again. He gets Darren's photo banned from Facebook with a legal copyright claim. He claims that photo is protected by copyright. As a result Facebook took it down. Now this is not a court order. This is just a letter of complaint and a formal copyright claim. I could file another counterclaim and argue that Darren is lying again in that a friend of mine made the photo but will refrain from doing so at this time. Without prejudice of course. If Darren's lawyer wants to claim copyright to that nose on Facebook, I mean photo of Darren's nose, then by all means he can have it. Mind you, without the nose Darren does look an awfully lot like Voldemort from Harry Potter.

However, with regards to his request to shut down our Facebook group with erroneous allegations of defamation, Please be advised that false allegations of slander constitute slander. Telling the truth is not defamation. Political satire is not illegal in Canada. That is one line that even the mighty Ninja Super Dave Whotherspoon had better not cross. We may not have a First Amendment in Canada but we do have a Charter of Rights. I love that Bill. Super Dave has been watching me since August 2005. Yet No order exists. Just threats and slander. The Facebook Case law I submit are the groups DIE ICBC DIE and I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who dislike George Bush. Case dissed.

Mr. Wotherspoon's own conclusion convicts himself. "Dennis Watson has caused irreparable harm to TELUS as a result of his conduct and given that TELUS is without an adequate remedy at law, TELUS is entitled to an injunction restraining him from further acts of copyright infringement." If I had committed slander or defamation, there would be a remedy at law. Since I haven't, that is why there is no remedy at law and that is why his client is not entitled to a restraining order. If he was, he would have one but he doesn't. Just more threats and slander from another bully from a big law firm.

On the contrary, as a result of Darren Entwistle's conduct, many jobs in Canada have been lost and the future economy of Canada is at risk. Look at what's happening to the the US economy right now. As a result of Darren's conduct in TELUS Idol and as a result of the conduct of some of his managers in TELUS Idol which he supervised and assumes legal liability for, many woman have suffered from degradation. His own actions convict himself. One day he will give an account of his own actions and will not be able to blame anyone else for them or threaten that judge with intimidation. Mark my word. Until then, See you in the funny papers Gangster.

BTW I didn't admit or fail to deny any of that. You must not have read my response. Cheers.
