Wal-Mart in Drag - Hello TELUS Idol
| Wal-Mart anti-Union labour lawyer John Tate claims
"Labour Unions are nothing but blood sucking parasites living off the productive
labour of people who work for a living." Hmmm
lets do a reality check
shall we. Wal-Mart makes obscene profits and pays its employees peanuts while refusing to let them form a Union to benefit from free collective bargaining. Me thinks Mr. Tates quote applies to corporate lawyers and executives who make obscene salaries by exploiting employees not Unions.Unions, as imperfect as they may be, strive to improve the wages and benefits of the employees and function by taking a commission known as tax deductible Union dues that is far less than lawyer fees or the money spent on political contributions that lobby against Unions and employee rights. |

Lest we forget the Liberal Sponsorship Scandal
Paul Martin was innocent of all wrongdoing of course even though he was FINANCE MINISTER at the time. |
Buzz the Snake Hargrove wants a piece of that action. For himself. Not for his members. He's killing off his members by agreeing to contracting out and refusing two tier wages. If two tier wages are a death wish for long term employees, then contracting out is a death wish for the entire bargaining unit. He knows that. That's why he is raiding other Unions to keep himself a job as he sells the rest of the jobs in Canada out. Did you see Buzz Hargrove's TWU raiding video he made for last convention? What a joke. He slandered the real hero and denies he was the one that told Bruce Bell to sell out on contracting out. What a liar. That dumb video earns him the Snake in the Grass award two times running. |

Speaking of scams here's one or should I say one of many.
Jean Pelletier from CN gets nailed for his involvement in the sponsorship scandal as does Andre Oulette from Canada Post. So what it their answer? Privatize and give the CEO a massive raise. Now that it's no long public the corruption will continue only on a much larger scale and we will never hear about it. At least if it's publicly accountable we hear about the scandals. Privatization has become the scandal. Moral of the story: Privatization to circumvent public accountability is just plain wrong!

John Blonder vs Canada PostCocaine dealer asks media ban continue
Media ban? That's kinda strange. Why would a cocaine dealer get a media ban because he's linked to organized crime? He wants the same protection of anonymity that youth get with the Young Offenders Act? That doesn't seem right. Isn't that the exact opposite of the public outcry for a web site identifying known gang members? Why would an adult criminal get a media ban? I don't think Chuck Cadman would approve.
New book claims Tories tried to bribe Chuck Cadman to bring down the Liberals early with a $1 million life insurance policy. Harper denies it but Donna Cadman confirms it. What about the Gurmant Grewal tapes? Harper expects us to believe that the Liberals offer bribes but the Tories are any better? Not likely. Lets see... Who do I believe? Harper or Donna Cadman? I believe Donna Cadman. Period. Ethics committee likely to probe Cadman affair. Chuck Cadman representing Surrey in the House. He was solid, loved and respected. No doubt about it.
What about Peter McKay? He denied calling Belinda Stronach a dog even though he was caught on tape. It was a funny comment. Belinda was a tramp. Why lie about it? Parliament is the only place I know where you can get kicked out of for telling the truth. If you call a liar a liar they will kick you out even if the liar is a liar because calling someone a liar is unparliamentary. Getting kicked out for telling the truth. Go figure.
Court orders Conrad Black to prison
Conrad Black was the guy who was buying up all the newspapers and firing any reporter who published anything Labour friendly. It was total censorship and media manipulation. Turns out he was nailed for some fraud scam in the States. This opens the debate for stricter laws in Canada against corporate criminals. Speaking of corporate criminals...
Darren's Monkey Business
Have you seen seen TELUS Idol? Did you read about Banff 2000?
Did you see TELUS' photos and video in the Philippians?
Are you beginning to see a pattern?
Let's do the math. Since Darren Entwistle became CEO of TELUS in 2000, their debt has climbed from $1.7 billion to $4.5 billion. Before Entwistle, Petty wanted to buy Clearnet for $1.9 billion. Canfield freaked said no and fired him for it. Then he lets Darren sell all the company assets (Burnaby, Edmonton, Never Owned Ottawa) and buys Clearnet for $6.6 billion instead of $1.9 billion. Go figure.
Darren's magic numbers claim that although their debt has climbed $2.8 billion since his Caligula era started in 2000, the Book equity has risen from $4.4 billion to $6.6 billion. Wait a minute. What is Book equity? Is that more kool aid and magic numbers? Does that count $1.9 billion for Clearnet or $6.6 billion? Wait a minute... Darren sells all the land and equity in the company to buy Clearnet for $6.6 billion instead of $1.9 AND the company debt has increased from $1.7 to $4.5 billion?! What is the REAL value of the company's assets?!
Other than throw several perverted parties, what has Darren Entwistle actually done? Wade came up with the advertising line and Darren fired him. The use of animals as a gimmick came from Clearnet. Other than kool aid and sexual harassment what is he good at? Before Entwistle the company used to hire from within. Now they only hire managers who have no idea how to do the job to boss around skilled trades people who have been doing the job for 20 years. That makes a lot of sense. At least Petty had skills in the industry. BTW Did you hear Darren's trying to do away with skilled labour in the company? Go figure.

| The Communist say we must tear down the rich to feed the poor. The Capitalist says that won't work. I say they're both half right. There is nothing wrong with business and profit. We can't live without it. The problem is greed. If someone comes up with an idea that makes them money, more power to them. However, if someone gets filthy rich by exploiting their employees, that is wrong. The concern is not wealth, the concern is exploitation. We now live with the obsession for more and more profit while we continue to roll back wages and benefits and continue to expect more and more work done for less and less pay compared to housing costs while CEO's continue to receive obscene raises for finding new ways to screw employees. This is the new Beast. Same as the old Beast. The Beast's name is Tyranny. |

Tories table crime bill motion, Liberals walk out
Wow, talk about whining opportunists. The Federal liberals sent out a big mailing criticizing the Harper government about being soft on crime and now they pull this stunt. How'd they vote? The NDP in B.C. are adapting a common sense approach to crime. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that something is wrong. Why can't we ever do something for the public good instead of exploiting every cause to make one political party look good and the other political party look bad? Why are politicians such sleaze bags? |
