Photo interview with Ken Birzneck

This interview was conducted and these photos were taken

on September 11th 2005, the Sunday after the assault.

This is a photo of Ken Birzneck at the exact location

where he was assaulted by AFI Joe.

I was standing here on the sidewalk when an AFI guy came up in my face with a camera. I asked him to produce his security license. He refused and came right in my face with the camera. I did not approach him He approached me.

After he refused to produce his license he moved toward me with the

camera in my face and I raised my hand to stop the camera from hitting my face.

While this was happening, AFI Joe snuck up behind me.

As soon as the camera touched my hand he grabbed me from the rear like this.

He threw me face first into the ground with his knee on my back and my arm twisted behind me. My left arm is the one that is already paralyzed. He claimed that when the other AFI guy touched my hand with his camera I committed an assault and that is why he physically threw me to the ground and placed me under citizens arrest.

That is Joe over there. He came up to me today and said "I was lucky".

AFI Joe might have thrown Ken Birzneck to the ground but Ken got up and is still on the picket line. Ken may be small and have a list of visible disabilities, but he is a bigger man than AFI Joe will ever be. Today we salute Ken Birzneck. He is a spiritual giant we respect.

Just like the sign says, "What goes around comes around."

Sure enough, as soon as I finished the interview and taking the photos

the Teamster Horsemen showed up to pay Joe a visit on September 11th 2005.
